The Hilo airport was my first real impression of the Great Islands called Hawaii. The first thing that told me I was in a tropical environment was the warm wet air, and exotic flowers and trees. Stork like birds flew in a flock across a jungle of vined trees, and many yellow birds chirped from a large tree just outside of the airport.
I picked up the fruit at the base of the tree for a closer inspection.
Then I had to really dive into the deep end of traveling to a new place. Calling a cab.
Finally one showed up and I was on my way to a place called, "Hawaii Paradise Park!"
A row of 7 miles of residential blocks in a jungle lined the ocean. I heard the song birds at night and found many beautiful trees there. The rain, the frogs, and the many birds sang.
