Today the ocean tide was coming in and the shallow water revealed many lava rocks that line the shore. Along the coast the lava cliffs gradually decline and almost go from 50 feet to sea level. It is so beautiful to watch hundreds of waterfalls created by the tide every minute at this beach in Puna. I also noticed that the rocks had changed since the earthquake just after my last post (Feb 9 2024). So, I ventured along for a mile and also saw the giant cracks along the entire cliffside. Some of the cliffs just fell in since the last post. Living in this dangerous avalanche zone are the most agile and quick stunt flyers. The Hawaiian blue noddi were out today. Below are videos of the amazing views from the cliffs.
