This is a short video with a clip or two of the forest and then the grand video of the beautiful Green Sea Turtles lounging in their favorite Hawaiian resort along Pahoa coastline. It's a 2 hour hike that only nimble feet will allow to traverse: lava rock interlaced with thick mud pits. The lava rock is chaotically angled in the best ways- if you are an artist you won't be able to handle how beautiful lava flows harden into basalt rock.
Hawaii is unique with its lava flows and resulting structures. The entire path is through a thick jungle of strawberry guavas lined with ancient rock walls. There are also Banyan trees, Iron woods, and palm trees. The Nene are releases into this jungle as a conservation area. The sea turtles swim through deadly waves along a coastline with no beaches to get here. It is worth the hike, but be careful to watch out for sunset. The jungle gets very dark, very quickly.
