Why not go on a bike ride when feeling under the weather? If it's paradise, it's hard not to adventure! This ride took me 2.5 hours round trip. It might be the most dramatic environmental variation I've ever witnessed: like time made some fantastic artwork to remind us the beauty of Nature.
From what I've understood, they call the Goddess of Volcano, and by processes of creation: the beginning of creation on Earth, the beautiful paradise constructed from the lava-fire of earth: Pele. Pele is definitely a real force here and always giving those who are open to Nature a lesson on time and creation. Yet definitions vary on person and culture: in a Hawaiian dictionary I bought from Hawaii, the word Pele was defined as: 1. lava flow, volcano, eruption. 2. (Cap.) The volcano goddess.*
Those were the only significance given to that word. From teachers I've come across some very harmonic, and deeply profound beliefs from the Hawaiian culture pertaining to the process of life and how it is viewed was attained. That of course will take more time to write seriously, but it's important to acknowledge for a few reasons. Modern culture is fading into something new that seems to be changing the world towards technology driven beliefs and goals. The developmental processes on a biogeochemical and neurological scale are occurring more rapidly: more order is seen and geological feedback processes are known to control a cycle as big as the earth. A coral has one of the largest genomes in the animal kingdom- yet one of the smallest entities as a polyp. To summarize: Hawaiians would eloquently explain the beginning of life on earth as the coral. And modern science would have over a million scientific research papers to back that up (as far as science can reach at the moment).

Also I have a hard time just editing a film montage of 1 hour into 10 minutes without special effects or music. I'm going to spend some time making these Nature vids into something more exciting. I have two filmographers (hippees) willing to do shoots so maybe 'Weed Productions' will happen in the next month. Until then: I do not own the rights to this music- but it's wonderful and if you're interested it was composed by Paco Nula.
Side note: I'm not sure why the island's biggest University is the 'Vulcans' because that is Roman and quite offensive to me. It wouldn't be hard to say Hawaiians are extremely understanding with their tolerance of such things.
