After surviving finals and the holiday flus, a visit to the beach is just what I needed to regain perspective. As usual the beautiful Green Sea Turtles were lounging on the lava rocks in Hilo Bay.
Sea Turtle stranding is a problem sometimes, and I went back for a few days to make sure the turtles could physically leave the isolated cove they were in. There were over a dozen sea turtles taking a nap at this fun beach in Hilo Hawaii. They are the source of much inspiration and I will be including professional resources for all who are interested in Green Sea Turtle endangered status, threats, and conservation efforts here on the Big Island of Hawaii (link for "Sea Turtle Disease Prevention Project").
